I believe that the most critical elements for creating are enthusiasm at the idea and perseverance at the real world stage, and finally , endurance to compete the visual story. After coming to America from Iran, I developed a love of western landscapes and continuously evaluate my place within these vast, open, and quiet spaces. I sometimes pursue images that are traditional documentary photograph, and at other times I work on the edge of abstraction and minimalism. I love to make the images that capture moments and movements of life and explore an extended story while working with post production tools such as photo shop. Everything is captured in the spontaneous dance and flow of the camera, and then it meets pigment and paper where the end result can be shared. I am not recording, I am capturing. Reality is not my goal as I work to get past the distraction of the conspicuous, to inspire those who see my landscape work and to discover beauty in our public lands.
